Frequently asked questions
How does Mabon work?
You sign up with your Google account, paste your resume or a brief profile, and describe what kind of roles you are looking for. Mabon then scans job boards and company career pages in the background, evaluates each listing against your profile and preferences, and surfaces only the roles it considers a strong match. You can chat with the agent to refine your search at any time.
What job boards does Mabon cover?
Mabon scans listings from a wide range of sources, including LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, Monster, Naukri, Greenhouse, Lever, Otta, Workable, StartupJobs, and other platforms. Coverage varies by region and is continuously expanding.
Is my data safe?
Yes. Your data is encrypted in transit and we use industry-standard security practices. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. For full details, see our Privacy policy.
Will my data be used to train AI models?
No. Your data is used solely to provide and improve the Mabon service for you. We do not use your resume, preferences, or conversations to train models.
How is the free trial limited?
The free trial lasts 7 days. During that time, you can run up to 5 searches per week and keep 1 search running continuously in the background. To run more searches or keep up to 4 running continuously, upgrade to Pro. No credit card is required to start. See our Pricing page for details.
What's the difference between a search and an always-on search?
When you start a search, Mabon runs what's effectively a training run — it scans the market once, surfaces matching roles, and shows you why each one was picked. If the results feel right, enable always-on for that search and Mabon keeps hunting in the background, notifying you when new matches appear. Think of the search as what you're looking for and always-on as keep watching. The free trial includes 1 always-on search; Pro includes up to 4.
What is the 'Market Signal' report?
Market Signal is a monthly report Pro subscribers receive. It analyzes the roles your agent has scanned and shows you salary patterns, which companies are actively hiring in your space, where your skills align with what employers are asking for, and specific steps you can take to strengthen your profile. Think of it as your agent sharing what it noticed while scanning the market for you.
How does 'Prepare application' work?
'Prepare application' is a one-click action on a job. The agent reads the job description and your resume, then surfaces resume bullets re-anchored to the role's language, flags skills gaps factually, suggests sections to trim, and drafts three to four grounded talking points for your cover letter. Nothing is fabricated — the agent works only from what is already in your resume and the job description. The free plan includes one; Pro includes 20 per month. Revisits cost nothing.
How does 'Find warm intros' work?
'Find warm intros' is a one-click action on a job. The agent surfaces people from your professional network at the target company. For each candidate, the agent drafts a short starter message you can adapt — the agent never sends anything on your behalf. The free plan includes one per week; Pro includes 5 per month.
How does Mabon evaluate jobs?
Each job listing is compared against your resume and stated preferences. Mabon considers factors like role relevance, seniority match, location preferences, and specific requirements you have mentioned. Each match includes a brief explanation of why it was selected.
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account any time from your profile page. We retain your email address to prevent abuse of free plan limits, as described in our Privacy policy.
