About Mabon
What Mabon is
Mabon is a job search agent. You brief it once with your resume and preferences, and it works continuously in the background — scanning job boards, evaluating listings against your profile, and surfacing only the roles that are genuinely relevant to you.
It is not a search engine. You do not type keywords and scroll through pages of results. Instead, you delegate the search entirely and review only what the agent considers a strong match.
The name comes from Welsh mythology: Mabon is a hunter — the only one who could track what no one else could find. It also marks the autumn equinox, a moment of harvest after quiet, steady growth.
The approach
Most job platforms optimise for volume. More listings, more applications, more notifications. Mabon takes the opposite approach: fewer, better results.
The agent scans thousands of listings across major job boards and company career pages, then filters aggressively. Most roles are discarded. Only those that closely align with your experience and stated preferences are surfaced, each with a clear explanation of why it was selected.
Over time, the agent learns from your feedback. Each conversation refines its understanding of what you are looking for, making subsequent searches more precise.
When a match is found
Discovery is the start. Once the agent surfaces a role you want to pursue, it can also prepare your application for it — re-anchoring your resume to the role's language, drafting grounded talking points for a cover letter, and finding people from your professional network at that company.
The work stays factual. Nothing is fabricated. Skills gaps are surfaced honestly, not hidden. The agent only drafts messages — it never sends anything on your behalf. Any draft asks for an introduction; it never speaks for the recipient.
